the sport mode button/switch/indicator does not work the dashboard indicator comes on only when the ignition is first switched on ie lamp test when traveling if mode switch pushed neither indicators (switch or dash) come on neither does the drive mode change any help appreciated

i have a vauxhall vectra 2.0 di 1998 (R)
the hazzard light on the dashboard keeps coming on after i turn the ignition off i stays on the dashboard and all around the car 2 please advise what the problem could be and how to fix it if i start the ignition the hazzard light all go off
