How do i replace the bearings on my indesit W123 ?
I have removed the drum assy from the machine , but how do I replace the inner bearing.
The drum seems to be glue sealed ?

In addition to my previous post- I am currently replacing the bearings in my Indesit wg1386w(g) machine. I have only done this on hotpoint machines in the past. The bearings in my Indesit are both located in the spider. If yours is similar, remove the spider and the bearings have to be knocked out with a drift. I had to heat the spider around the back bearing to expand it and facilitate removal. Take the spider off the machine first. I am so glad I didn't have to strip the machine!

The 'cross like thing' Michiel refers to is the spider. If the front of the machine can be removed, do so and remove the front of the outer drum. If not, you will need to either remove the case or take the whole drum out of the case. This will require disconnecting wiring/water pipes so that the drum is isolated from the case. Then remove the front of the outer drum and the inner drum should pull out. This gives you access to the inner bearing. Not a job for the faint hearted. I am not conversant with your particular model, so cannot go into further detail, but basically this is what is require to replace bearings. Sorry I am not more help, but you at least now have some idea of the task you are undertaking. Best of luck.

I've removed the bearinghousing from my w124x. I needed to take the beltwheel off and unscrew the eight bolts that hold the cross-like casting on the drumhousing (You cannot take the drum out of its housing). With some levering and bashing the cross comes off. After that the outer bearing fell right out, I'm still struggling with the inner bearing.

Good luck, Michiel
