How do I get a BT Diverse 3000 to bits to clean the keypad?

There is no obvious way in, screws, clips or WHY.

Two other points to note - there is a clip at the base. Slightly different to the other ones around the handset, so presents little resistance - hence why I did not notice.

Also when reassembling - the speaker locates with the lip downwards.

And the metal springs go under the PCB to ensure that contact is made for recharging.

Work with care.

There are clips all the way around the phone. Use a flat blade knife and work your way around it slowly. I started at the top.

Two clips on top edge.
Two clips on the left and right hand side just below the top.
Two in the middle left and right.
two bottom left and right hand side.
No clips on bottom.

I bust the clips and also damaged the casing - hence my suggestion that you work carefully.

I then whiped the pad with a microfibre cloth. There were two sticky keys - green on button and the three button. Both had noticeably more mess over the PCB sections that were beneath the rubber buttons.

I cleaned up the keypad.

Put it all back together again.

It worked much much better than before.

I'm not expert, so just describing what I did, as a last ditch attempt to get mine to work.

The diverse 3000 is quite dificult to get apart and it is hard to describe as there is a "knak" to it. There is no screws used in its assembly and just clips togeter. Your fault is not with the keypad but with the circuit board and can be difficult or imposible to fix.

I can do it as I have done many and sell reconditioned units on ebay under lucy.hayes try Item number: 6375406483

If you want to try you will need a blunt thin object like a blunt knife to prise case apart, but very difficult unless you know the points and directions of the clips.

If you can't see any screws check the base surface protection feet, usually rubber, see if they pull out, you may find screws under them so until you've checked for hidden screws DON'T try prising it apart.
Some body sections of telephones are clipped together and you can split the casing prising it apart. You can try but be prepared to buy a new telephone.
