I have a couple of problems with my potterton boiler. Niether of them is causing me much trouble at the moment but I am worried that they may lead to more serious malfunctions so if anyone can help it would be most apreciated.

First, the boiler often takes a long time to fire up when hot water or heating are called for. The fan comes on and then cycles on and off, sometimes as many as 20 times, before the ignition sparks and lights the boiler.

Second, when heating the hot water, the radiators become warm. They do not get hot like they do when the heating is on but they do warm up considerably.

Any advice as to what to do, if anything, would be greatly appreciated. If you require any further information to diagnose these problems please ask.

99% sure this is the fault of the printed circuit board (p.c.b) cost around 60£ and easy to fit. could also relate to air pressure switch. good luck
