when my oven or grill are on depending on temp it goes off after a while. neon light goes off. when its cooled down it comes on again.is it the stat?is it easy to fix?and how much does it cost?.

Hi,

I have just recently moved into my new property and they left me their AEG competence (white) double oven. This weekend the main switch to the cooker was turned off, and since turning it back on the clock is flashing with auto keep coming up. Since this the main oven will not turn on, the neon light won't come on and nothing is happen, but the second oven's neon light comes on and also the grill is working? I cannot seem to do anything with the clock or get rid of the auto wording that keeps coming on? Do you think this might be why the oven is not working? Or do you think there is something wrong with it?

or, the thermal fuse in line with the fan....

sounds like the cooling fan is open circuit or has siezed.... when the cabinet gets hot it cuts out.
