After cutting through a wire for my alarm (i didn't realise at the time lol) the whole street could hear i'd messed up..... so i stripped back the wires and tied them back together......
The alarm was ringing for about half an hour.

BUT.. now, when i press any buttons on my keypad, there is hardly any sound at all..... the internal speaker has gone really quiet.... also none of the sonsors now work in the house, they used to flash red..

and when i set the alarm, it just flashes a little red light on each of the zones, but nothing else, it doesn't set...
Also i tried to test the bells, but that didn't work either.. help :(

Hi David, did Petes solution work?
I'm having exactly the same thing happen with my alarm (but I didn't cut any wires). I have tested all 3 fuses and they seem okay. I tested the battery and that seems okay too.
I dont fancy buying a new battery and find it still doesnt change anything!

Your backup battery has drained ( if its over 4 or 5 years old you need to replace it) and I also suspect there will be a blown fuse on the main pcb. Replace the fuse ( and batt if required) and all should be well after battery has recharged.
