What is keeping my PTO from engaging?

I have a Yardman, 13BT604G452, riding lawn mower. When pulling the lever for the PTO to engage nothing happens. What should I be looking for? All the belts are fine, when it is pulled on while off everything looks like it should.

I have the same problem: My mower won't start UNLESS I pull the PTO lever the WHOLE WAY DOWN. Then it works fine. I suspect that it's a switch adjustment, but I haven't bothered to try to locate it.

The mower has a safety
interlock system which prevents the engine from cranking or starting unless the parking brake is engaged, and thePTO lever is in the disengaged (OFF) position.
• The engine will automatically shut off if the operator
leaves the seat before engaging the parking brake.
• The engine will automatically shut off if the operator
leaves the tractor’s seat with the PTO lever in the
engaged (ON) position, regardless of whether the
parking brake is engaged.
• The engine will automatically shut off if the PTO
lever is moved into the engaged (ON) position with
the shift lever in position for reverse travel.
erhaps the interlock switch is faulty.

I am having the same problem with a different type of lawn tractor. The service place that I spoke with said that if the light doesn't come on when the lever is engaged it is electrical. (disconnected wire, switch, sensor, etc.) That's about all I know for now. Let me know if you find anything out.
