I'm a rover mechanic and can tell you here and now the rover 25 & 45 series had to recall certain 2002/2003 models for problems with crankshaft pulleys which if not replaced can lead to seized engine or timing belt snap,
my advice get it changed anyway to be on the safe-side its only about 120pounds and you then need not worry about it again until at least 80000 miles (provided you still have it by then of course)
it will mean better fuel economy, a better running car and last but not least PEACE OF MIND, who can put a price on that???

Hi,
I believe the Rover 25 is 90'000 miles or 6 years, so by the looks of it you are well clear mileage wise but will be due calendar based next year.
Cheers now
