renault maegane coupe (98)?

after flat battery was replaced, alarm and immobiliser now unable to deactive with plip key.....car battery and key battery both replaced is it possible to just de activate whole system permenantly ...?

disconect the batery from your car for 5 mins the when you reconnect have your key fob pointing towards the rear veiw mirror and pess at the same time obviously you will need two people for this!

ps. this info was passed to me when i brought my 98 megane coupe but have not yet to try it hope it helps others whom may read this in the future

You needs your keys re-programmed (both keys). By a Renault dealer.
Disabling a manufacture fitted immobilser will invalidate your theft insurance on the car.
