Micra immobiliser problem?

Hi, my 1995 N nissan micra has immobiliser problems. The light that indicates the immobiliser is on is flashing, and I can't seem to switch it off (hence the immobiliser stays on). I've changed the battery in the fob and checked the fuses which seem to be fine. Can anybody help me because I can't afford to pay hundreds to get it fixed.

Thanks,

Andrew

even though the fuses are ok have you checked the auxilary fuse box under the bonnet in front of the battery.check the 10amp blade fuse relating to injectors on fuse box cover - chances are this fuse is blown or badly corroded. It causes no fuel to be passed from the injectors.
