You obviously have never looked under a Ka bonnet, let alone own one.

SUCCESS!!

you need to pay Halfords to do it.

The poor kid cut his hands up and took at least half an hour.

A handy tip is to remove the wheel arch plastic cover (behind the drivers light) as this gives you a little more room to manouvere.

It's a VERY very fiddly job. Ford should be sued!

All praise to the Halfords guy that did it though!

It's NOT that easy! Especially the driver side headlamp bulb. There is no room to work, get your hand in or the pastic cover out. Let alone get 'in there' to remove the bulb and replace it.

I'm contemplating removing the whole headlamp unit to get to the back of it - hence me discovering this Q&A.

Hi - open the bonnet, reach behind the headlamp unit and withdraw the sprung bulb holder. Carefully, using a tissue replace the bulb. Good indpendent car spares stores will fit it for free/nominal charge if you ask nicely! Observe as they do it!
