Electra washing machine overfills?

Not sure what model electra washing machine I have but it is very basic one.

When I switch it on the washing machine overfills as it turns

Could someone explain in simple terms how to fix it

If it is a pressure switch or pipe of some kind that might need cleaning out what does it look like and where do I find it

Thanks if you can help

hi the pressure switch is under the lid usually round in shape with some wires pluged on to it,also a tube running off the bottom, try these
1) remove the tube from the end of the switch and blow down it
2) have a close look at the tube it may have a hole in it if so replace
3) replace the switch (all these with power off)
