wheres the gearbox fluid resevoir rover 400 diesel?

having trouble selecting 3 4 gears just want to make sure its not just fluid trouble

there is no resevoir as sutch underneith there is a 17mm headed bolt on the pass side of the box just above the drive shaft on the box take it out and put an alan key in to see how mutch fluid is in there but im afraid to say that a problem like this normaly the gearbox
