Indesit W123 dead as a dodo!?

My indesit washer has suddenly stopped mid cycle, at the end of the wash just before the rinse is due to start (so has drained of water). The lights are on but there is no life. We have tried turning it off at the mains and back on but this just results in the program dial flicking round one turn and stopping.

The light is on constant, no flashing at all.

Can anyone shed and light?

i think you will find the drain pump has paked up if you remove the bottom plinth you will find the pumpfilter screw cap un screw if possible thay can be very tight anticlock wise it could just be blocked replace screw cap and try again.empy machine first by laying drain hose on floor level in shallow bowl lift the hose in the air to stop flow of water when bowel is full donot leave hose on floor water will start to flow again.or if poss put greay hose straight outside till drained .if this dosent work then replace pump.
