hand brake problems?

vauxhall vectra 1997 hand brake,put new brake shoes on rear disks when you pull hand brake it will not hold the car like it should very tight when you pull the lever

Try and tighten the cable itself, it should be found just behind the hand brake handle should just be a bolt to tighten.
