con got the gas to do it but cant locate valve{ford mondeo 1800cc 2001

The recharge/discharge tube is just to the left of the radiator (if you are looking to the rear of the car), and slightly in front of the washer water bottle.

It is an aluminium tube sticking vertically upwards and should have a black plastic cap on it. The tube is about 1cm in diameter.
