How best tio repair a small puncture hole in the bottom of my bath?

A sharp glass ornament fell into the bath and punctured a hole about 2mm diameter. So I am considering using a patch with epoxy adhesive from below, and then bathroom sealant from above. What are the issues I should consider (It's a coloured bath suite and I do not wish to replace it, but I do have some sealant to match the colour (nearly!)

Well I fixed it without advice, and it seems to have worked out fine:
I first used my coloured sealant from above, smoothing it flush with an old credit card (and having an adhesive patch in place underneath, to stop the sealant going through). Then when that was set, I applied 'No Nonesense' External Sealant on a patch of very loose woven cloth thickly from below (I bought this from 'Screwfix). Even I have trouble finding the mend now :-)
