Correct fuel mixture?

I have just moved into another house and the previous owner has left me his McCulloch 210 strimmer but i don not know what the fuel mixture is could anyone help please ?????

I came on this site for the same thing and after going away armed with couple of opinions I went out to fill my McCulloch 210 up with fuel only to find that on the filler cap itself: 'Oil and Petrol Mix - 40:1..! Good old McCulloch I thought.

it usually depends on your engine size, weight ect.
but one safe ratio is one part oil to 30-40 parts gas
if it is hard to start, raise the gas level, and if there is any suspicion of low oil, definitly raise it.
