traction control?

i have a vectra 2.5 v6 preg 1997, the traction control light has come once while driving senseibly(for a change) at 60mph, any ideas why.

did the light go out again after you stopped the engine, and has it come back on again, if not you probably lost a little traction at one wheel, and its just the cars way of letting you know, if it keeps coming on then you have a short or open circuit in one of your sensors at the wheel, you'll need a multi meter to check for faults, jack the wheels and remove the sensor wiring under the wings and plug you multi meter into the sensor end and check it for resistance using the ohms scale, turn the wheel through 180 deg and check the scale moves up and down, if not you need a new sensor
