When I start up my computer it wants to scan the disk for errors.
Like it does after it's been shut off with out shutting down. What can I do to fix it?
My computer is a compaq presario and my OS is xp pro.
At start up the computer wants to run a scan and after if does that it does it again. it will run the scan until I turn it off.

What is the PC and what is the Operating Sytem. How do you know that is is scanning the disk for errors?
