3 times in two weeks??? Either the pump isn't your problem (most likely) or you need to get away from whomever you get parts from. If changing the pump provided an immediate fix, then you are probably inadvertantly correcting a loose connection. Check the connection on the inside of the tank at the top of the sending unit. Look for discolored, burnt, and/or spread terminals. I've probably done a thousand in-tank fuel pumps and finding these terminals to be loose is not at all uncommon. If the tank isn't already out yet, MAKE SURE there is POWER to the tank connector before disturbing anything. Also be sure that the GROUND is good...It should be tightened down with the same bolt that holds the tank connector to the frame. By the way, I strongly recommend using only OE factory parts. My 20+ years in the business has provided many lessons on the evils of using aftermarket parts. There is a reason that they are cheaper. Good luck!
