Recently rebuilt my 205 1.9 gti (with some help). Got the engine in and all seemed to be well it started and ran perfectly. Ran the car for a couple of days then, left in on my drive for half an hour and it now wont start? I have tried to work it out but so far cant work it out. The engine turns over but wont fire any ideas.

Have you checked the HT leads, Rotor arm and Spark plugs? also your alternator might have failed! that happened to me on the completion of my engine change. it had taken 9 months so the alternator must have packed up. changed it all is well.

the fact you drove it for a little while may mean your car batt was not charging!

Ps: any ideas on reapir a sunroof handle? (any one?)
