how to install a starter solonoid?

i am trying to install a solonoid on a 12.5 murray i feel like i have all the wires right but it does nothing?

Check to see if you are getting voltage to the small wire at solenoid when cranking if not its proably a faulty safety switch
make sure battery is charged
