when i first try to star my ldv?

when i first try to star my ldv its turns over for 15 seconds or so puts out alot of smoke then starts and is fine. what could be causing the smoke and long turn over? could it be the glowplugs?

if u have plugs u need to turn key till dash lights up 5sec then start if u done this none turbo check heater plug working

i would say so, the black smoke is just the excess fuel thats gone in the cylinders being burnt.
