how can i fix my smeg wdi 12c washing machine?

during any type of wash it stops and an error e 06 comes up on the digital screen on the time left. what is wrong and how is it fixed?

Blocked impeller. Remove front lower plastic strip. Drain obvious pipe. Unscrew cover on left. Remove obstruction.
