I have a Westwood T1250 lawn tractor (1991) with a Tecumesh(I think) gearbox. The gear box has disintergrated - anyone know where I can get a scrap/surplus gearbox as a replacement -I am sure that I can adapt a gearbox from a similar tractor.

Not really an answer but I had to buy a new one for my T1600 from westwood - Tecumseh gear box had given out- gears themselves were OK but bushes had completely disappeared no trace in the grease in the box itself - almost as if they were never there in the first place!!! From what I've seen on the net this is not unusual
