I am getting a sound like a blowing exhaust manifold from the back of the engine or could be a mechanical sound there is no smell at all and access is very difficult.This problem only started on morning start up after a long run the day before.I have no manual as it is a rare engine for this model.Thanks

most likely to be the egr tube split its the thin bendy pipe that runs from below egr valve then disappears behind exhaust heat shield
