Hey Guys, I had this same problem and now i solved the reason. 1st change the CMOS Battery. If it doesn't work then get some kerosene and service the whole motherboard. Like brush the full mother board. Then give some hit to dry the board using a hot-gun. If u don't have a hot gun then u can use hair dryer which I used. Then give a try. I wish it will work. And if both doesn't work then re-solder all the connections on the motherboard.

I'm doing a research on motherboard. Please let me know if u r successful at pial316_hotmail.com

There is a setting in the BIOS about what you want your computer to do once it loses power. It can restart or stay off. To get into the bios, the PC will say "Press Del to enter BIOS" or something to that effect. Sometimes its Del, or F2, or F10, it depends. Then go through the menus and look for power settings, and something like "On Power Off..." Change it to Stay Off.
The menus are different depending on who made the BIOS, but they are usually similar.
Good luck

Stuck switch? Try clicking it on and off a few times - with no power of course.
