The fan inside the fridge was making a noise, every time you opened the door the noise stopped. The fan has now stopped making a noise but the fridge is only getting cold at the bottom.The digital display is not going below 14 degrees.Can anybody help please !!!

Just like our parents old fridges; it needs defrosting from time to time; the high humidity can cause ice to form aroung the cooling element and eventually this jams up the fan with a solid block of ice which prevents the cold air circulating around the fridge.

Turn the fridge off and leave the fridge door open, it takes at least 24h to defrost so you may want to transfer the freezer content first or you could do it in stages and turn the fridge back on (low) overnight (shut the door again).

Should do the trick and its free!

Yes, and it didn't cost us anything.There was a build up of ice on the fan which stopped the fan from working. We defrosted the fridge and the fan started working again.

I am having the same problem with my fridge. The warraney has expired and Samsung charge a call out charge which is £75 not inc. parts!!

Did you manage to get yours repaired?
