Can anybody out there help please?
We have a Whirlpool American Style Fridge Freezer which has an Icemaking machine in the freezer section. Recently this stopped making the ice but the water supply is running fine. It happened overnight so appears it could well be a switch or lever maybe that has broken or jammed possibly? It was also suggested that it may be the red light on one of the side panels which may have broken down?? I spoke to Whirpool who said it could cost £200 for parts and labour costs so I wondered if anybody would be kind enough to assist me - just in case its just something simple that can be adjusted/mended by me? Any assistance would be much appreciated.

hello mike , we have the same f/freezer with water and ice dispenser........our water works OK but the same as yours no ice, I've been told by a friend who had the same problem that it usually is the water inlet pipe to the ice maker that freezes, when an engineer fixed his , he just heated up the water inlet pipe with an hairdryer, he was told it freezes when there is not enough food in the freezer............not sure if it will work, haven't tried it on mine yet but good luck
