Memory slot location on Advent 7014.....where is it?

I would like to upgrade my older laptop Advent 7014, but to my surprise I have trouble locating the memory slots....does anyone know where it is and how can I get to it?
Thanks in advance.

The memory slots for this &*"& machine are under the keyboard. To remove it, turn off (!), remove the battery etc. Get a very thin screwdriver and put it under the keyboard at the top, above the number keys. Gently lever it over and the top (i.e. push the other end of the driver towards the screen lifting the edge of the keyboard) and the keyboard top will spring out. Then you move it towards the screen to release the slots at the bottom. It then lifts away. Its tricky to do without some keyboard damage but not impossible.

Underneath you will see a silver panel. On the right hand side is a load of silver tape (unless someone has been in before). Remove the tape - take care as the panel can bend easily, support it as you are pulling at the tape - and undo the two screws holding on the panel underneath. The memory is under there.

There are two slots.

And after doing all that the memory I was about to put in didn't fit, so make sure you order the right kind.

Also as this machine has loads of overheating issues I left the panel out when the keyboard was off to gain some additional air flow. If yours resets randomly its probably too hot.

Advent is a DSG (Dixons /Currys) own brand and in the past they have been made for them by many different companies . I suggest you try www.thetechguys.com/.
