how do i replace the oven switch on my Smeg se3355ss oven?

I've just moved into a new flat and found that my oven does not work. I removed the oven from its fitting and found that that the oven switch and the wires attached to it had began to disintegrate.

I've seen replacement switches for sale but does anybody know if its a job that would require a qualified sparky or could someone with no technical knowledge do it?
