How do I remove the back from a Casio Sea Pathfinder SPF-40?

I tried removing the 4 screws from the back of this watch to replace the batteries, but this does not release the back as it is under the plastic brackets connected to the wrist strap.
Any ideas how the back should be removed without damaging the plastic brackets?

The strap must first be removed. Each side strap is fastened in place by a broad pin which has a slotted fixed head at one end and a female thread at the other, into which a similar head screw is fastened. use a small screwdriver to unscrew the two components. Getting at the batteries is easy but there are four of them, at £5 each!

Richard,
Remove the band by depressing the spring loaded barrels located in watch/wristband attachment.
Remove the 4 screws, remove the stainless cover gently so as to not damage the seal, remove the white plastic cover.
You now have to un-clip the battery restraints using a safty pin.(be carefull).Replace the batteries and re-assemble the same way you dissassembled, use vasoline(pertrolium) jelly to hold seal in plece when putting the stainless cover back on.Do not over tighten the screws.
