How can I repair a botched Razer DeathAdder mouse firmware?

I have a Razer DeathAdder. I got an e-mail saying a firmware upgrade is available so I went to the site to download it. It said not to unplug the mouse or interrupt the power and click start so I did. Then I get another message saying the firmware I am trying to install is the same one as the one installing. I could not Tab it to click OK. I could not even Alt-Tab to it. My parents' PS/2 mouse would not work so I had to get the USB mouse from my sister to click OK. I did not see any progress for the firmware so I tried installing it again and kept getting a message saying no (Razer) mouse is detected. The light that is supposed to fade on and off is solid and the Razer DeathAdder will not work.

I had the exact same problem. What I did to fix it was I decided to install the new driver v1.5 instead. After installing that I was able to install the firmware update without a hitch.
