How can I best repair my trousers when it has worn down in the crotch area?

What is the best way to protect crotch area on trousers when you prematurely wear them down like myself.

I have used unsightly patches which often are obvious and can soon wear down also.

Is their something that can be used, possibly see-through and durable enough to maintain longer wear of a pair of trouser which can be expensive and ruin whole suit which otherwise is in perfect condition.

I went into TM Lewin, and also had a suit made elsewhere. They both recommended that thier tailor could add a satin lining internally in the crotch area from the outset helps to protect the Trouser. I wieght train and have larger than average thighs, so I was looking for anything to enhance the life of my suits. So far so good. TM Lewin offer this service for an additional £12.00.

I was searching the answer to the same question above cause my husband has the same problem on his suits. I could not find any proper solution on English website but several Japanese websites say that it is not because of the thick thighs but the REAL reason is because the crotch area was moistured due to the sweat, that eventually damages the textile which leads to the worn down in that area.

The solution is to put a piece of thin cloth (which absorve the sweat but also dry it out at the same time) from the inside of the trousers. Unfortunately there is no specific clothes sold in UK where I am living... Look at the website below even if you don't understand language. The photos show how to extend the life of trousers by preventing the worn-down when you purchase your trousers. (http://www.e-tsukuda.com/angelg.html)

I haven't got a clue but look forward to some bright solution being posted - hopefully!!
My rugby thighs have been wearing out good trousers within 1 year and it's expensive to replace them when they're otherwise perfectly good trousers.
