Can I connect a washing machine when there is only a hot water supply?

My washing machine (Electra WD800 condenser/washer/dryer) was connected to both hot and cold water supplies. In my new house there is only a hot water supply for the washing machine. Will it work correctly if I connect only the hot water hose?

No you can not ,when you think of it,a washer rinses in cold water ,as your hot water could be in excess of 65 degrees C, this would ruin some of the garments you are washing, also the programmes will not run correctly, you can connect a washer to cold only, this would run correctly.

Hello James,
No, you need a cold water supply as well as hot water or a 'y' piece to connect both hot and cold water on a cold water tap.
