what does code f-12 on the display panel mean and how do i fix it. it is a hotpoint ctd80 condenser dryer .

This is apparently a communication problem between the control/display panel and the PCB at the bottom right of the dryer. I removed the dislay/control unit, disconnected the small multi-plug and cleaned the contacts. Also removed the other end of the multi-cable from the pcb housing, cleaned and re-connected, since been ok
