honda harmony 215 belt keeps falling off?

my honda harmony's belt for the self propelled mower keeps falling off, do i need a new belt or did something fall off that holds the belt on . does it have something like a tensioner?

You can pull the belt cover(4 bolts. 3 underneath and 1 in front of rear left wheel) and you will notice a piece of cylindrical plastic molded into belt cover that pushes up the transmission plate when reinstalled. It should push up onto a black rubber grommet. Attach a spacer to the black rubber grommet and a spacer to the end of the plastic that pushes into black rubber grommet(I used 2 felt floor protectors about 1" in diameter and about 1/4" thick that you put on the bottom of a chair leg to keep from scratching the wood floor). You buy them at the hardware. This in effect pushes up the trans and tightens the belt. The only other thing you can do is replace both pulleys and the belt but that gets time consuming and expensive. Worked for me and Honda Harmony HRM215K2SXA is still running fine.

I have the same problem and I think it is a design flaw. When the wheels are set high, the belt is put into misalignment with the pully and if you attempt to pull the mower backward the belt comes off. I don't know a solution except to change mowers - maybe a Toro.
