Dont use a DIY top up kit, there a waste of time & money, you risk damage to your aircon system & yourself, its illegal to vent R134 to the atmosphere, plus there being banned from sale in the U.K. in next 2 weeks anyway.

Take it to an aircon specialist & have the job done the correct way.

The system needs to be vacuumed out for at least 45 minutes & pressure tested for leaks before adding the correct amount of compressor oil, R134A gas & UV dye.

If you do go down the DIY top up route dont expect your aircon system to stay in a working state too much longer.

Castrol do a top up kit that comes with a charge of oil and a leak dye. Obtainable from Halfords. About £20

If you are in the UK what you have been advised in the previous post is almost certainly illegal. (You may inadvertently vent freon to the atmosphere.) Air con is not a DIY affair in the EU, you need to go to a specialist with a machine.

It probably needs more freeon. Go to Advanced Auto Parts to buy it. It's relatively inexpensive and you can add it to your car yourself. It comes with a whole kit to do so. Or you could ask them to help you.
