Fitting washing machine door?

I have just had the hinge replaced on my Creda Simplicity 1200 (model no 17111) washing machine door as the old one broke off, but when I try to fit the door back on the screws seem too small for the holes in the actual washing machine. It looks like there should be another part eg two nuts, behind the holes to screw the 2 screws into, but it isn't there. Could it have dropped down inside? If so, how do I get it out?

Thanks and kind regards, Amanda

Hi,

From memory when I replace my door hinge there was a plate behind which dropped down. I removed the bottom cover and managed to get it out. I then needed to take the top off and get somebody to hold the metal plate in place whilst I put the hinge back on.
