Battery was totally dead. we jump charged it but volts only came to 12ish volts horn was a nuisance so we disconnected. volts fell a bit, reconnected horn but it didn't go off, c/l wont work and alarm light doesnt go off so no start any ideas@ have tried dealers suggestion of pushing both buttons x3 then left right etc but no joy

I don't know what dealer you spoke to but the only way to reset a two button plip (fob) is to plug the car into a diagnostic computer.

To get the car to the dealers, you should have a security code with your handbook. You can use this code in the door lock to get you going. If you don't have the code a dealer can supply it with proof of ownership and proof of ID.
