I have a problem with my dipstick on Vauxhall Corsa, the tube where the dipstick fits into has actually come off the engine alltogether. When speaking to a mechanic he just said that its quite a common fault with corsa's and best thing i can do it just am it back in, as there no way to fix it. Anyone else got an opinion please?

any good mec can weld this part bak 4 u. my stik has been welded 3 times in the last 5 years (still cant part with such a gr8 car tho)
