I have an 02 zafira and the alarm keeps on going off i have diconnected the ultrasonics in the courtesy light unit by cutting the connections on the PCB as i presumed this was the problem but still going off after about 10 mins do you know how to diagnose fault as vauhall dealers were not interseted

hi tim i had same prob, mine was the sounder unit with a self contained battery within the unit, the battery goes faulty and the sysyem keeps thinking something is wrong so there for kicks off intermitently? cost me 150 quid to solve at dealers. andy.

sorry cant actualy help but our local dealer contacted vauxhall technical as they could not fix similar problem on our zafira and they eventualy admitted a design fault, it does however at least for the moment seem to have cured itself has has only gone off once in last year. fingers crossed that is!, the other possibility we were told is a spider in the works! may sound daft but you could try spraying as much as possible with insecticide in and around vehicle and leaving doors shut for a couple of hours worth a try anyway.
