if you look on the back page of user manual,it gives you all the fault codes,but if you dont have book,here they are;ap.aux power failure,bf.battery fault,c1to c8,zone violation,cc(you will only see this if your alarm is monitored)means communication successful,cf.comms failure,e1,to e8.entry via zone circuit.ea,entry alarm,ef exit alarm,both these mean you took to long to go out or come in.lb,low battery,lf,telephone line failure,(as in monitored)lt,end station tamper,lid off or back switch tripped,(panel off the wall)01 to 08 zone omitted,pf mains failure,r1 to r4 remote keypad tamper,rp,keypad missing,rr,installer reset required,rt,excess keypad key presses,s1 t0 s8,engineer soak test,sr,system reset,(total power failure)t1,to t8 zone tamper,tr,tamper return fault(bell box)a lot of people confuse the battery code bf as 6 f,so,look closely,i am a proffesional installer and have fitted over a thousand of the 9800,plus the 9800+they are very reliable panels,you can use the 9800+keypad on the 9800 if you have a faulty keypad,as older unit obsolete.hope this is of help to anyone,
