Please advise how I get rid of "AboutBlank" which I continue to default to, when starting up Internet Explorer?

Sorry Alan but, that not work for long, Adware away that work. But to get about/blank off your PC for good you have to format.

Rick you don't mention which Browser you are using. I'll assume it is Internet Explorer.
1) Launch Internet Explorer. On the menu option select "Tools".
2) Select "Internet Options".
3) In the General Tab there is a field titled Address. Enter the web page which you would like as your Home Page into this field. For example, if you wanted this website to be your Home Page you would type "http://www.howtomendit.com" into the field. (Don't type the quotes.)
4) Click the OK Button to close and save your changes.
