Unplug the washer take the gray outlet pipe at the back of the washer and lower it as far down as pos into a bowl and drain water out wait about two mins and then see if the door opens if this dosnot work it could be a program board fault . If your washer is less than five years old the parts are guaranteed by hotpoint weather you took a guarantee out at point of sail or not . It will be cheaper to get them out than to buy the parts yourself .Hope this helps
