My Toro 22' recycler with Tecumseh engine will not not stay running?
I have cleaned the carburetor and put it back together. It will fire once and then die. It has fresh gas in it and a new spark plug. It exhibited this same behavior last year, but cleaning the carb solved the problem. Any other ideas? Am I out of luck on this mower? It is only 5 years old and ran fine up until about a month ago. (The only thing to happen to it this year is the primer bulb was ripped off - I have since replaced it)
Hi Slightly off track. Where did you get the primer bulb, it happened to mine as well. I think when the bulb goes it can let dirt in, which can clog Carb or jets. Can u buy them online.

It does sound to me like the main jet is blocked. When taking the carb off you have to ensure that once the bowl is removed the parts that screw inside the bowl retaining nuts thread are also removed and cleaned. The easiest way to do this is a combination of a sonic cleaning bath and compressed air. Sonic cleaning baths can be found in mower repair workshops and also in most good jewellers. If this does not work you may need a new carb
