vauxhall Astra convertible roof wont work?

when i put the key in there is a beeping noise coming from the passenger foot well and the roof buttons wont work please help

Theres normally an emergency way of opening / shutting the roof if you look in the owners manual that came with the car.

more info needed. i.e year and cc of the car.and anything else wrong apart from the roof,and is the roof closed or open
