how can i fix my ford mondeo 2.0 ghia?

on my 'R' 1997 mondeo 2.0 ghia (petrol) the brake fluid light and abs light are staying on permanently, it is not losing fluid pads and shoes are all ok fluid is new...can anyone help???

its an easy job to do and you will be able to get the part no problem. hope you get it sorted

cheers for your help... what happened originally is the brakes were playing up and it turned out to be the master cylinder that was knackered so i changed it and with it the fluid that was about january time and only now it has got the lights on... i think it could be the pump also because ever since i had the car when you pull away there's a slight screach type noise which also happens if you brake very hard( so that the abs will be working ) and it's definately from the abs pump i think

you say fluid is new?now im thinking this could be the problem.i have all the data on the abs and a lot of it will need a diagnostic to find the fault.has it only started since its been bled?if so i can tell you the correct bleeding sequence.if your not to good with cars i would connsider putting it into a ford garage,i had the misfortune of fixing the same fault same car and it turned out to be the pump,try,d and try,d to bleed it even used a pressure bleeder.the reason the pump had gone is the ignition had been left on for 30mins or so
