how do i fix the brake lights in my 1990 vauxall astra?

just noticed brake lights not working,have no manual and because i am used to american cars, cant even find the fuses??!! any advice greatly appreciated as im sure its 'just the fuse' tanks

Hi there its sounds like its the brake light switch as these have a reputation to fail, Its located on the top of the brake pedal, To remove it,
Turn it 90 degrees either lef or right.
take the wires off & to test bridge them together if they now work then its the switch.
to reconnect the new switch pull the plunger out as far as it will go, reconnect the wires & put it back in its holder by turning it 90 degrees again. The switch will self adjust its self
